Half of every dollar spent on hamantaschen, will go to feed the needy at Masbia. Here is how it will be spent and what you will be sponsoring.
As Purim approaches, Masbia Soup Kitchen Network is once again preparing to help thousands of families celebrate the holiday with joy, dignity, and a table filled with food.
In the week leading up to Purim, Masbia will distribute extra-large holiday food packages so families in need can properly observe the holiday in their own homes. At the same time, our chefs and volunteers will work around the clock to prepare full Purim meals to be served in our dining rooms.
This year, Purim begins on Monday night, which means that after the reading of the Megillah, guests will come directly to Masbia to break their fast of Ta’anis Esther. On Tuesday, Purim day, we will serve a complete Purim menu for both lunch and dinner. Wednesday, Shushan Purim, we will once again gather to serve a special festive lunch. And because so many families cannot easily travel, we’ll also be delivering groceries to thousands of households through our DoorDash partnership, making sure Purim reaches people at home, too.
